Dan Alatorre spins wonderful tales, and this story is no exception. It is fast-paced with just enough sharp right turns to keep the reader engaged and interested.The characters vary from endearing, like Aaron and his twin daughters, to very evil, like Aaron's twin Ashley. Jett has a rather unstable personna, which makes it rather difficult to identify with her as the main protagonist.The book explores some topics that make the reader think, such as bisexuality, sexual manipulation between siblings, and Oedipalic relationships. These are very tough subjects to address, some because so little is really known about them. The latter, particularly the ones involving the Wells twins, were not very accurately portrayed according to what is known, nor did they add much value to the story. Sexual normalcy following such horrendous insults during childhood would not be likely.Personally, I would enjoy seeing Jett decide on a single sexual direction (preferably towards Aaron!) and team up with Aaron and Rico in future adventures. This brand new first in series has it all! Thrills, suspense, twists, and turns. Undoubtedly an edge of your seat page-turner till the last page. Never a spoiler in my reviews, here's what you need to know: Fast-paced and bound to keep the most avid mystery reader guessing as just when you think you have the answer, it turns out to be not even close to what was in your mind! Riveting characters which you love to love or love to hate dot this story of intrigue and deception. Jett, a disgraced TV reporter turned PI is the lead character who along with Rico work hard to uncover the truth and get to the bottom of whatever it is that's going on. The author does a phenomenal job bringing everything together leaving no loose ends and brings us to a believable and satisfying ending. The action in this book will keep you entertained, the story itself will demand just one more page as it becomes more and more difficult to find a place to pause and put this book down. Dan Alatorre has written another winner. Don't hesitate and get this book now!
